London is always a good idea, and after a few visits under our belts, we’ve finally nailed down what to wear that actually works for the weather, the style, and all the tea stops in between.
This is one of our favorite cities to dress for. It’s classic, layered, and effortlessly chic. Think trench coats, boots made for walking, and a statement dress or two for dinner in Soho. In this post, I’m breaking down exactly what I packed for our 2025 London trip, including Revolve pieces that made me feel pulled-together no matter what borough we were exploring.
☁️ Layering That Feels Polished
London weather can change in an instant, cloudy, drizzly, then sunny all before lunch. I always pack light layers that I can throw on or off depending on the day.
– A tailored trench coat (a must for any UK trip)
– A cropped knit that looks great over dresses or with wide-leg pants
– A neutral scarf for extra warmth on chillier mornings
☕️ Everyday Staples I Always Pack
London street style leans effortless, with a mix of classic and edgy. I like to pack elevated basics that work for everything from museums to markets.
– Oversized blazer — perfect over a tee or slip dress
– Black turtleneck (lightweight, layers beautifully)
– Tailored trousers or wide-leg pants
– Crisp button-up shirt for layering or wearing solo
🌧 Pieces That Work in the Rain
We never visit London without expecting at least one rainy day, but I’d still rather look chic than soaked. These pieces do both:
– Water-resistant trench or belted raincoat
– Chunky ankle boots (great grip, still stylish) I usually use a waterproof spray if I know I will be traveling at a time where there is tons of rain.
– A tote that fits an umbrella and camera
→ I’ll link the boots I wore all over Notting Hill here.
✨ What I Wore for Dinner & Shows
London nights out call for something a little elevated. Whether you’re catching a West End show or heading to dinner at Sketch, here’s what worked for me:
– A long-sleeve silky mini dress (paired with tights)
– A body-hugging knit midi, structured and warm
– A black slip dress under a blazer for layered glam

🧳 My Go-To Packing Palette
To keep things cohesive, I stuck to shades of black, camel, navy, and cream. Of course I added one fun pop (this time, a red sweater and dress). It made everything mix and match effortlessly and kept my photos feeling polished across the trip.
